Off the Eastern Shore of Virginia, lies an island seven miles long by one and a half miles wide. Chincoteague Island is connected to the mainland by a causeway and six bridges. We, at Hooks & Feathers, can think of no better place to live, work and play than on Chincoteague Island.

Chincoteague Island is protected from the Atlantic Ocean, by it's neighboring barrier Island of Assateague. The fishing here is great, whether you are DEEP SEA FISHING, bay and inland fishing, or just casting off the beach.

Together these islands make up the Assateague Island National Seashore and Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.

The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge is one of the several sanctuaries for waterfowl on the Atlantic Flyway. In the fall and spring, the migration of waterfowl is a spectacular sight to behold. Wildlife is abundant here, which makes WATERFOWL HUNTING ideal.

Our captains, guides and crew members are registered with the Maritime Consortium, Inc., which is a random drug testing program required by the US Coast Guard.

Each of our boats has been inspected by the US Coast Guard and meet or exceed all requirements.
